We stumbled in through Helens door,

our noses red, throats quite sore!

"Make way!" We called out with a laugh

We've come from Bruges for your bath!

We've traversed Europe

But naught yet beats

A place like home

To soak your feets!

Our last days in England were spent taking it very slow. With both of us a bit under the weather we spent a whole day resting and drinking tea- more tea then I've ever drank in my life. I guess there's some Brit in me after all. It was also finally time, that's right, the moment you've all be waiting for, Ryan was ready to put in new earrings. Six weeks have gone by since we got pierced in Camden and it was finally time to make the switch. He bought a pair of silver wings in Paris and he was desperate to try them on. Unfortunately neither him nor I could unscrew the earrings in his ears. So it was Dr. Nigel Plyer to the rescue. My uncle was almost a little too giddy when we requested his help, but I can't blame him, it's not every day you get to use a pair of pliers on someone's face. To our great excitement the removal was successful, and Ryan is now more stylish than ever.

After our lazy day of tea and tv, we went into Camden to have beers with my cousin James. We met at the The World's End, and had some drinks before parting ways. I was feeling a little sad saying goodbye to my cousin, as I watched him walk away from us at the train station. I was reminded how he's one of the people who have known me the longest in my life. "Look, Ryan that's me, that's my blood, my family-" is what I tried to say, instead I just cried out, "Look that's my blood!" Which received a fit of giggles from Ryan and myself.

The day before we left for Iceland was Thanksgiving, which of course is not celebrated in England but me and Ryan still talked to both of our families on the phone. I briefly got to see my grandparents, we couldn't do a proper goodbye because Ryan and I didn't want to make anyone else unwell, but it was still so good to see them in person. Nigel was then the man of the hour again by taking us out that night for a delicious curry dinner! For my first Thanksgiving ever away from home I didn't feel lonely at all.

We've since left the land of Eng to head for the land of Ice, but I know it's never goodbye when leaving England; it's just see you soon.💌
