It was a dark and starry night, we were armed with nothing but a telescope unearthed from the depths of Grandpa's house and a dream. We were on a mission to find Jupiter! On Monday Jupiter was the closest to Earth it's been in 59 years and it won't be that close to us again for at least 100 years. After fumbling around in the dark for a while we did manage to see an image of Jupiter and some of it's moons! Grandpa then was reminded of a line from a story he wrote many years ago,

" I pray for one last landing, on the globe that gave me birth

Let me feast my eyes on azure skies, and the cool green hills of Earth."

Sometimes looking out across the vast expanse of the universe reminds us how lovely life is here at home.❤️
