We finally decided to take a bite out of the Big Apple, or in Ryan's case, a big hot dog! We loved exploring the city with my Dad. Out first stop was of course Central Park, which we would have leisured through a little longer if we all weren't desperate to find a bathroom! After answering natures call we visited the American Museum of Natural History and Ryan had a field day in the rock and mineral exhibit (he even pointed out some rocks that were mislabeled, this man knows his stuff.) Afterwords it was up up and away to the top of the Empire State Building. There we met the sweetest lady who took plenty of pictures of us and showered us in compliments. Despite her pointing out a nice rooftop bar where we could have dinner, once we were back on the ground we were too turned around to locate it. Instead we ended up in The Cellar which was moody, candlelit and underground of course. We concluded our city adventure by running 14 blocks up to Penn station because our phones had died and we would have had better luck learning how to juggle ducks than navigating the subway station and it's maps. I definitely learned my phone is a huge tool, and I'm a bit useless without it. Overall it was amazing to be back in the city and I'd love to have more time there so we might pop back closer to Christmas.
