Wow... We filled a 30 yard dumpster with stuff from this place in less than a week- but- the clutter from this property has been years in the making!

My grandparents finished building this family home just before welcoming their fourth child (my father) into the world in 1966. Since then it has never been a place to turn away a friend or person in need, a truly welcoming space. That has a lot to do with the fact that this is my grandmother's house. She was the keeper of this kingdom and all it's inhabitants. But since she passed away suddenly many years ago the space and longing she left behind is obvious- big- and sometimes painful. I am reminded how integral every member of a family is and the impact one person can have on many.

She carved this space into a home and now we are freeing her memory from all the weighted junk- and unearthing memories long forgotten that are worth their weight in gold. It took 4 days, 8 bagels, and 6 people to get the first ( of many I'm sure) dumpster filled, but it has been so lovely and rewarding to be here, digging up the beginning in order to set in motion a proper end.
