Beaches bars and basketball! We started day two by meeting up with Josh and Lou Mei to first admire La Sagrada Familia and then visited the Casa Batllo. Both buildings looked to me like they belonged in an underwater world, see for yourself below, what do you think?! When we were done admiring the architecture of Spain, we grabbed snacks and drinks for a picnic on the beach! The moon was full, the water was clear and we all danced along the shore. How lovely it is to be a wild child. The evening ended in a very competitive game of Footbasket. Footbasket is an extremely intense, physically demanding sport. Firstly it requires a semi-deflated ball that you must find in the street. To play you are to kick the ball (like in soccer) until you wish to pick it up. Once the ball has been picked up you must shoot for the basket (this game is played on a basketball court) or pass to a teammate. The game was rigorous, many scraped knees were earned, and shrieks of joy and frustration echoed through the night. Once Ryan and I had inevitably won, Lou Mei climbed through the hoop of the basket, as the smallest member of the losing team must always do this in order to conclude the game of Footbasket.

Being the financially savy creatures we are, we then snuck Lou Mei and Josh into our Hostel and we all slept in a pile on the two tiny beds. The world is a fantastic and creative place to be, but I keep finding that it is the people you are with that truly make any experience shine.
