Of all the shops to visit in Taormina we discovered a little staircase that lead us into a tucked away clothing store that was elegant and earthy called, "Etnic One". We were the only people there and the man who ran the store had a great eye for fashion and helped me pick some outfits by matching them with my skin tone and physique. He used to be a photographer and said I would make a great model because I was very playful when trying on the clothes. Needless to say we walked out with a bag full of goodies, and good vibes were abound! One of the things I bought is a long flowing soft green and purple dress. Long dresses have never been anything in my comfort zone because I'm a bit short and not very busty. I usually lean towards outfits that show off my legs because I have plenty of leg. But he helped style the long dress so that I still felt very feminine without wearing something tight and exposing. While buying a dress that's not in my usual style may not seem like something wildly important, it did open my eyes to the realization that I don't have to look a specific way to look good. That's pretty big for me. I have struggled a lot with feeling uncomfortable in my body as I'm sure everyone does in some way. Going on this trip and getting out of my comfort zone has been motivated in part by my desire to harness my own confidence. It feels really good to have little wins like this that let me know I'm moving in the right direction, and opening up to my own self-love.

These aren't the best pictures of it but I was in a rush to get something to eat! I'm sure I'll have more to show later!
